I believe that focus should be on the whole body in order to achieve whole health. Body Mind and Spirit.
I became a Massage Therapist because my options were limited as only a Reiki Master and Aromatherapy Practitioner. Taking the next step, I can use all of my Natural Healing Modalities to assist more people on their personal journeys to better health.
I am a Licensed Massage Therapist (#3263) and Reiki Master of the Usui Shiki Ryoho tradition and have been practicing Reiki for over 20 years. I have been practicing Aromatherapy for over 30 years and am also a Reflexology Practitioner.
My style is a bit unique blending techniques of various different modalities into what I call my Signature Intuitive Medical Massage. This means by listening to your concerns and feeling what your muscles tell me, I am able to intuit which methods would best suit your needs. Some people need more pressure where others need lighter pressure. I work primarily with my forearms which allows me to work deep and gentle at the same time stretching and lengthening. I do not believe in the "No Pain, No Gain" approach. If you are looking for someone to hurt you, I am not your therapist. I believe in communication and to that extent, I have come up with my own pain scale system for use with my clients. On a pain scale of 0 to 10 with 0 being you feel absolutely nothing, and 10 being you want to knock my lights out, I prefer to stay somewhere around a 7 or 8. I honestly do not like having my lights knocked out. So, as soon as you feel the urge to curl your toes, or make a fist, that is when I want you to let me know to ease up. In this way, our communication remains open. After all, your massage, is all about your needs, not mine. If you are uncomfortable for any reason whether it is adjusting the temperature in the room, or adjusting pillows for your comfort, please let me know.
With healing as a passion, I have been practicing and studying Natural Healing through the arts of Aromatherapy, Gemstone Therapy, Flower Essence Therapy, Sound Healing and Color Therapy since 1992. My motto of "Healing Bodies One Touch at a Time" is derived from my stance that every body that I touch is encouraged into healing with love, aromatherapy, touch and kindness. This is NOT to say that I cure folks miraculously. I sincerely want people to leave feeling much better than they arrived. My work is a therapeutic healing art that I take much pride in.
For me, learning never ceases, and I am continuously pursuing my passion of healing with all kinds of Natural and Alternative methods.
